Small coach-to-surfer ratios, Ocean safety education built into every session, Clear boundaries and structure, Guidance from experienced local surfers who understand Northern California's unique conditions. Your youth will learn how to read the ocean, respect it, and move confidently in the water.
Surfing teaches: Patience, Emotional control, Persistence after failure, Self-reliance. There’s no shortcut to catching a wave — and that lesson carries into school, friendships, and life.
We emphasize: Leadership within the group, Goal-setting, Supporting peers, and Encouragement.
Youth thrive with fun, strong, grounded role models. Your child will develop an understanding of the ocean by working with local instructors. We teach proper surf etiquette and rules of the lineup. Mentorship, Memories, Momentum.
At HYPERFORMANCE Surf, we take full advantage of Northern California’s diverse coastline. By staying mobile, we can choose the best conditions and the highest-quality surf rather than being locked into one beach. With our 3:1 student-to-coach ratios during summer, surfers get higher quality guidance, stronger safety oversight, and the flexibility to explore different breaks in Marin, along Highway 1, and Santa Cruz. More attention. More waves. More Fun!
If the ocean goes flat, we still get in the water and work on surfing small waves (groveling), typically ending the day at one of our local skate parks to improve: Balance, Flow, Board control, Speed generation. (Summer Program)(Surfskate/skateboards/Helmets provided) (Other safety gear not provided)
We surf rain or shine! Not like you're going to stay dry anyway?! A refund may be issued for days when weather conditions are deemed unsafe, or for any other random acts of god, and the program is not held.
